The name was coined by a friend of the band (Larry Travis, HI LARRY!). The name captures the dedication of the band to acoustic music and to tequila (see the next question).

While we do plug our guitars in and run them through a sound system we are still capturing the essence of acoustic music. Our guitars are acoustic-electric which means that while the music is created in traditional acoustic fashion the sound is electrically amplified.
